What Music (If Any) Inspires Your Writing?

For myself it changes from story to story, currently classical music is what is doing it for me, lots of Bach and Debussy specifically, due in part to their integration within my current project, but mostly because I love them. What about you?

  1. Ok…I like you! 😉

Debussy? Yup! Erik Satie’s Gymnopedies, everytime!

My all time favourite is the compilation of Chopin’s Nocturnes, performed by Arthur Rubinstein…Opus 55 in F Minor is my favourite piece of music, EVER!

Listen to Ludivico Enaudi, specficially ‘I Giorni’…..

    • Ooo! Chopin’s Nocturnes are amazing, I’ve always loved that he had enough talent to make such calming music with a very prominent dark tinge to its underbelly. I’ll give all of these a listen in the near future, thanks!

My favorite piece of all time is Bach’s ‘Chaconne Partita No. 2 in D Minor’. Jascha Heifetz played it with the most raw emotion, in my opinion.
